Welcome to Warren East Middle School where we are proud of our students for their efforts, growth, and success. Our ongoing mission as a faculty and staff is to ensure our students are cared for, taught, and supported in a rigorous and academically challenging environment. Many of our students participate in one of many athletic and extracurricular opportunities and in doing so, they are learning valuable lessons about teamwork, success and failure, dedication and determination, and much more. We are proud of our young students and the steps they are consistently taking in their growth.
Warren East Middle School offers a wide array of opportunities (academic, athletic, and extracurricular) for our students to participate in. WEMS has 278 student-athletes which is over half of our school of 500 students. When we look at the number of non-athletic opportunities for our students, it is clear that our students are heavily involved throughout our school in their classes and in their clubs with most students involved in multiple sports, clubs, or groups. Our goal is to continue to grow and develop these opportunities for our students to ensure they are involved, connected, supported, and successful.
Thank you to our parents and community members for your continued support. Please let us know if we can ever be of help to you.
Thank you,
Jonathan Vaughn, Principal
In the event that WCPS utilizes an NTI Day, all WEMS students will be expected to join Google Meets and complete work according to the above schedule.
