Principal's Message

Welcome Warren East Raiders,

The new school year has begun and it was incredibly exciting to welcome into Warren East Middle School all of our students, both new and returning. It is our goal for everyone to feel welcomed and belong to Raider Nation. We value each and every member of the Raider family and we hope that you will work collaboratively with us as we strive to make WEMS the best place for students to learn, teachers to teach, and parents/guardians to send their children.

Our theme this year is ‘Moving Forward, Building A Legacy!’  We encourage all of our families to discuss those two ideas and have discussions with your child about what it means to move forward from past mistakes, past negative situations, and even past successes so we aren't complacent, what it means to build a legacy, and how all of these ideas are closely related.

In the weeks to come, we look forward to highlighting the achievements and successes of our students, spotlighting our incredible faculty and staff, and sharing the many things that make Warren East Middle the best there is.  Outside of their regular classes, WEMS offers opportunities to participate in a variety of sports, clubs and extracurricular activities.  It’s our hope that students will take advantage of those opportunities and find enjoyment, friendship, and belonging in whatever activities they choose. We are committed to providing our students every opportunity to achieve while doing so in the safest environment possible, so that our students will leave here better educated, more confident, and as better citizens than when they first arrived.

If there’s ever anything we can do to try and help, please do not hesitate to contact us and let us know.

Thank you,

Jonathan Vaughn, Principal
